Salt Flats

We went to Wendover for the weekend. It was really fun.
We showed Eli where he used to live when he was a baby.
He didn't even remember living there (maybe a good thing!)

We drove out on the salt flats and Eli thought the salt was snow.
He had fun throwing the salt into the water.

We checked out the HUGE Wendover airport.
Eli loves airplanes!
He had fun playing in this old plane.

Semi Truck Ride

My Grandpa Julian pasted away on April 1, 2009. For
as long as I can remember, my grandparents drove semi's
in the winter. This is the first brand new semi they ever bought.
The day of his funeral my Grandma wanted to let the kids
ride in the semi's to the cemetery. This was a
very memorable experience for these little kids. They had
never even got to sit in Grandpa Julian's "BIG" trucks.

All of my moms grandkids (except Abrielle) rode in
the blue semi and the rest of the kids rode in the
newer semi they bought a few years ago.

All the kids took their turn pulling the air horn.
It was very noisy as each kid pulled it
as they got out of the truck.

This is not the greatest picture of myself. But this was the first time
I had ever rode in my Grandpa's blue truck. I remember when I was
little my grandpa would be in his shop cleaning the truck.
He always had it spot less. We always knew
that, "Grandpa's truck" was off limits. NO TOUCHING!
For the average person, riding in a semi is almost meaningless.
But it meant alot to us that we could ride in his truck.... one last time.

Flying Kites

We went to the baseball fields to fly kites. Eli had so much fun.
After we flew kites, I sat back and watched Eli. I took these
random pictures of him because he is just
so dang cute. I think I am a little bias!

Eli had so much fun with his dad flying kites.

hApPy EaStEr!!

Our plans changed for Easter this year but it
was still a lot of fun. We decided to stay home
and be close to family. Eli kept saying
for weeks that he
was getting a bunny for Easter.
I am sure glad the Easter bunny found him

one. He was sure excited to see the bunny!

The names in the running for the bunny are:
Mr. Brownie, Blacky, Snowball,
and the most
recent Bear Bear.
Hopefully, Eli will choose a name soon.
